Botanical Name: Cortaderia Selloana

Specs: Ornamental grass; evergreen; very fast growth to 20’ tall; long saw-toothed grasslike leaves; conspicuous white, pink, or chamois flower plumes rise above plant on 3’ stalks; prefers rich soil, but tolerates most conditions; excellent for slopes or windbreak; mature plants can overwhelm a small garden.

Specs: Shrubs; evergreen; valued for foliage and form; dense, low growing to 2’ tall; prefers regular watering, but fairly drought tolerant; clusters of creamy white flowers have fragrance of orange blossoms; best for borders, massing or around pools; other varieties are taller and some have variegated foliage.

Specs: Perennial with profuse blue flowers; loves the heat; reasonably drought tolerant; disease, pest and deer-resistant; blooms even in considerable shade; will keep your yard full of butterflies all summer; responds well to pruning; will flower profusely after being cut back or after a growth flush.

Botanical Name: Podocarpus Gracilior or Macrophyllus

Specs: Evergreen; good looking foliage; adaptable to many climates; excellent screen or background; likes good garden soil; sun or part sun; good for containers; easily pruned to desired height; prefers year round ample water; deer proof;  ‘Gracilior’ grows in sprawling manner, needs staked for upright growth, becomes more dense with age, cleanest and most pest free choice for street or lawn tree; ‘Macrophyllus’ to 50’, slower growing, more pyramid, narrow, upright shape.
